Jan Reid Eveleigh, Interim Executive Director

Jan loves her job at FINALY! Originally from Dildo, Trinity Bay, Jan always had a desire to work with youth. She graduated from College of the North Atlantic with a Diploma in Community Studies - Youth & Adult Corrections in 2000, and completed her Bachelor of Arts in Community Studies in 2002 from Cape Breton University.

Not willing to leave Newfoundland and Labrador for "greener pastures" in her field of work, she found herself working as a Trainer at a call centre in Corner Brook. She soon transferred to Carbonear, where she was the Training Coordinator. She eventually moved to Halifax, NS temporarily, to help start a new program with the same company.

Upon her return home, she felt she needed to get back on track with her initial career goals. While volunteering with a local group, she was encouraged to attend the Nova Scotia Community College for their Public Relations program. Luckily, CompuCollege in downtown St. John's had just begun offering the same program. She enrolled in the program and graduated with Honours in March 2007.

Jan was previously the Marketing, Communications and Promotions Coordinator for the St. John's Jazz Festival and has volunteered with groups such as IABC Newfoundland & Labrador, Junior Achievement, MusicNL and Avalon Dragon Boating.

In her spare time, Jan enjoys volleyball, very amateur photography and singing. In the summers she can be found in her tent or her kayak.

Shaun Rideout, Event Coordinator (summer student)

Shaun Rideout was born and raised in Goulds, Newfoundland, where he still lives today as he completes his education. Shaun will be entering his fourth and final year of his Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biology and a minor in Psychology. Upon completion of his degree, Shaun hopes to pursue a career in the health/medical field. Shaun is extremely excited to be working with FINALY! this summer as the Event Coordinator for the 2010 Leadership Summit and AGM in Rocky Harbour, NL. As a previous Student Council President, Provincial Student Leadership Conference attendee, as well as last summers' coordinator, Shaun can use his leadership experience to make this conference the best it can be!

Kelly Pike, Marketing and Sponsorship Coordinator (summer student)

As a Business Marketing Major at College of the North Atlantic, Kelly was thrilled to accept the position of Marketing and Sponsorship coordinator with FINALY! for the Up-coming leadership summit and AGM. Previously an avid Student Council member from grade 7-12, Kelly came in with a good understanding of how these conferences work and how much work gets put in to them. Born and raised in Portugal Cove, NL, she looked up to her grandmother as a positive role model, and was always inspired to do her best. Currently still living in Portugal Cove with her cat Boots, Kelly is excited about her future in the Business world and can’t wait for the challenges ahead!
